Upon her return, she is met with a divided country and a forever-changed psyche that doesn’t quite fit in the world she knew before she left. 

The historical facts weaved throughout the narrative paint an accurate picture of not only the war but life after. Well-researched and well-written, this book fits into its historical fiction genre perfectly.
