THE TEACHER switches between the points-of-view of characters Eve, Addie, and eventually Nate. Eve teaches math at the same high school her perfect husband Nate teaches English at. Both of them have troublemaker Addie as a student. As their marriage has come to a standstill, they both have affairs but one of them is sleeping with their student.
When the affair has the potential to get out, everyone takes matters into their own hands and will protect their secret at any cost.
FREIDA MCFADDEN keeps the twists coming until the last page. The middle of the book was a bit too long and the beginning started slow. The characters were annoying at parts and their motivations were a bit shallow making it hard to get personally invested. The real juice came in the last 50 pages.
